After rubber bullets, guard dogs and tear gas, Police personnel protecting the Dakota Access Pipeline, starting yesterday, has resorted to Water Cannons.

Water cannons were used on protesters, while the temperature was at 26°F/-3°C. Many were immediately treated for severe hypothermia, by emergency responders.

According to TYT Politics, the situation escalated when protesters used a semi truck, in an attempt to remove burnt military vehicles. The police used these vehicles to keep the bridge blocked.

The Morton County Sheriff’s Department, on their Facebook page, announced that the department is dealing with rioters (protesters), who were attempting to breach the bridge. The post was met with strong criticism. See the comments below.
